The Dhaka phase of the 6th Hill Film Festival will take place in Dhaka from January 2–4, 2025, featuring film screenings and discussions across two venues: DrikPath Bhobon and SHALA Neighbourhood Art Space. The program includes 55 films from 15 countries, organized into competition categories such as Feature Fiction, Short Fiction, Documentary, Student, Vlog, and Experimental.
In addition to the competition, curated sections include Indigenous Mirror by Santua Tripura, Whispers from the Next Door by Fazle Hasan Shishir, and HFF Retrospective by Adit Dewan. Films are grouped under themes such as Feminine Focus, Indigenous World, and Freedom and Existence.
The festival will also host panel discussions, including:
- Film Financing and Distribution: Strategies, Challenges, and New Initiatives
- Making Own Narratives: Perspectives of Indigenous Artists
- Indigenous Issues: Where Are We in Bangladesh?
The festival will conclude with a closing ceremony at DrikPath Bhobon on January 4, 2025. The Dhaka phase marks the final segment of the 6th Hill Film Festival, following the Rangamati phase held in December.
