Hill Film Festival Started in Rangamati in 2014. Since the inception, five editions of the Festival have taken place in Rangamati. In 2021, the 5th Hill Film Festival was organized by Jum Film Forum in collaboration with Goethe- Institut Bangladesh, Drik Trust, Goopy Bagha Productions Limited, Supporting People and Rebuilding Communities(SPaRC) and Hill Resource Centre. A Dhaka edition of the festival was held in Dhaka from November 26–28, 2021 at DrikPath Bhabon in Dhaka. The Dhaka Edition of the Hill Film Festival was jointly organized by Jum Film Forum, Pathshala South Asian Media Institute and Drik Trust.

The festival showcased 18 films briefly mapping the history of filmmaking in indigenous languages in Bangladesh. There were some exclusive discussion sessions too.
